It is a natural proclivity of human nature for people to, as it were, attempt to “hitch their wagons” to some personality, party, group, or religious organization. This is frequently done in order to give their otherwise bland and purposeless lives some semblance or perception of “meaning” and “direction.”Although generally denied, this human propensity is, in the final analysis, undeniable.
Take, for example, today’s youth. Although brought up in what has been the freest, most affluent society in human history, most of our young people can be likened to children on a boat helplessly adrift in a huge, storm-tossed ocean without a sail, engine, rudder, or compass. In this helpless state, they drift through their collective meaningless existence while grasping desperately at any “straw” that appears to hold out the promise of injecting some meaning and stability into what is otherwise a purposeless existence. With little if any perception of reality, they seek some “guru” to help them cover up their true condition of emptiness and futility, and inject some “purpose” into their lives. Welcome to the real world!
Initially, all humanity is in the same boat — regardless of who or what we are as individuals. As one who was born in Europe a few months after Adolph Hitler became dictator in Germany, and who lived there for more than 30 years, personal reflections may be in order.
During World War II, while living in Ireland, I was brought up to virtually “worship” Winston Churchill. To those who were on “the British side,” the individual affectionately known as “Good old Winnie,” was a hero beyond parallel. The pugnacious leader of the British war effort was beyond criticism. His famous war speeches were classics. His powerful words stirred the hearts of the Depression-weary British people to do battle against “the goose-stepping Nazi hordes”.
By way of background, two days after Germany’s invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, British prime minister Neville Chamberlain — to honor a defense treaty signed a little earlier with Poland — declared war on Germany, but failed to take any military action against that nation. What followed was months of what has been termed “the twilight war” or “the phony war.” Both Britain and Germany declined to participate in military action against each other.
In May, 1940, Germany invaded France and Belgium and then Luxemburg, Holland, Denmark, Norway and the other “low lands.” Germany continued to refrain from making any threatening military moves against Britain. At this point powerful financial and political forces drove Chamberlain — broken in health and a victim of unrelenting attacks — from office. Winston Churchill replaced Chamberlain as British prime minister on 10 May. Chamberlain died of stomach cancer 6 months later. Within a few hours Churchill launched a massive air attack on German civilian targets. The “twilight war” was over. Churchill’s War had begun.
On 4 June, 1940, Churchill inspired Britons to do battle against “the Hun (who) has chosen to fight without regard to any rules of war. We shall have to beat him off with whatever weapons we can get hold of....
“Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag nor fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence... We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight on the hills; we shall never surrender....”
Six days later, 10 May 1940, Churchill told the British people that “the Battle for France is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our British way of life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The full fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war.... Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, ‘This was their finest hour.’”
Heady stuff! Inspiring rhetoric! Yes, indeed! A sign of a real leader! But what about the background events that led up to the outbreak of what is known as World War II? As Churchill rightly said, after wars their “history is written by the victors.” As a result, the true story of what took place over those seven fateful years (1933-40) has been totally ignored or grossly distorted by establishment “historians” — many of whom gained fame and fortune by “spinning” the story to conform to the “official” line. Those who attempted to tell the truth were accused of disloyalty or even treason by those in power. Some were locked up. In wartime Britain, Admiral Barry Domvile, KBE, CB,CMG (1878-1971), and Captain A. H. M Ramsey were two prime examples. Both were locked up for the duration for speaking out and trying to prevent an unnecessary war. They later wrote books about their experiences. Domvile wrote From Admiral to cabin boy, and Ramsey wrote, The Nameless War. Both told fascinating stories that put World War II in a completely new light. Both illustrate the fact that “in war, truth is the first casualty,” and that, as George Orwell wrote, “In a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
How about the propaganda employed to “set the scene” and get the peasants all revved to do battle for a “cause” about which most were largely oblivious? As the late Walter Lippman observed, “every conflict is fought on at least two grounds: the battlefield and the minds of the people via propaganda. The ‘good guys’ and the ‘bad guys’ can often both be guilty of misleading their people with distortions, exaggerations, subjectivity, inaccuracy, and even fabrications, in an effort to receive support and a sense of legitimacy.
“We must remember that in time of war what is said on the enemy’s side of the front is always ‘propaganda,’ and what is said on our side is ‘truth and righteousness, the cause of humanity and a crusade for peace.’”
William Casey, former CIA chief, is quoted as having remarked at his first staff meeting in 1981, that “We will know our disinformation program is complete when everything the ... public believes is false.”
Particularly in the tumultuous world of the twenty-first century, we must be ever vigilant and on the lookout for the never-ending tidal waves of lying propaganda and disinformation that are being pumped out 24/7 from every point of the compass. These are generated by powerful hidden forces and are designed to keep us off balance so that the population as a whole can be led down a path that is devastatingly destructive and planned to end in our total enslavement. What is happening is somewhat reminiscent of the fourteenth-century legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
DER FUHRER
Within hours of Adolph Hitler’s emergence as Der Fuhrer (the Leader) of Germany on 23 March, 1933, the ominous sound of war drums began to reverberate once again across the European continent. The “first shot” of what eventually became known as World War II was fired the very next day with a screaming headline in London’s Daily Express, a mass circulation Jewish-controlled newspaper: JUDEA DECLARES WAR ON GERMANY: Jews of all the World United in Action.
Background: Some historical background is supplied by the late Benjamin Freedman, an influential Jewish businessman who was closely associated with seven American presidents. Freedman was an astute observer and eyewitness of many major behind-the-scenes political moves and manipulations for some 40 years — from 1915 onward. He was so nauseated by what he witnessed that he decided to make public his findings in, The Hidden Tyranny.
JEWISH “HOLY WAR”
A few months after Hitler’s rise to power in 1933 and the Jewish Talmudic community’s immediate declaration of war, a world conference of leading Jews was held at The Hague in the Netherlands. The purpose of the meeting was to devise a strategy that would prevent Germany from escaping the financial stranglehold that had caused her economy to collapse. A decision was made to conduct a relentless “holy war” against Germany.
Arriving back in New York on 7 August following the conference, Jewish lawyer Samuel Untermeyer launched the first salvo of that “holy war” on American soil. He delivered his declaration of war on Germany in a broadcast over radio station WABC in New York. The following day, the New York Times carried the text of the speech in its entirety. In it, Untermeyer stated that he “deeply appreciated (the) enthusiastic greeting” which he “quite understood was addressed to the holy war in the cause of humanity on which we have embarked... It is a war that must be waged unremittingly until the black clouds of bigotry, race hatred and fanaticism that has descended upon Germany... The Jews are the aristocrats of the world. From time immemorial they have been persecuted and have seen their persecutors come and go...”
Untermeyer claimed that Hitler was planning “devilishly, deliberately, cold-bloodedly ... for the extermination of a proud, gentle, loyal, law-abiding people — a people who love and have shed their blood for their Fatherland, and to whom Germany owes in large part its prosperity...” The world needed to unite and “rescue these six hundred thousand [not six million?] human souls from the tortures of hell ... with the aid of our Christian friends... What we are proposing ... is to prosecute a purely defensive economic boycott that will undermine the Hitler regime and bring the German people to their senses by destroying their export trade on which their very existence depends...
“Each of you, Jew and Gentile alike, who has not already enlisted in this sacred war should do so here and now. It is not sufficient that you buy no goods made in Germany. You must refuse to deal with any merchant or shopkeeper who sells any German-made goods or who patronizes German ships or shipping....”
In should be noted that, as Benjamin Freedman forcefully pointed out, prior to this time (7 August, 1933) “not a hair on the head of a Talmudist (Jew) in all of Germany had been touched. [Due to World War I and the machinations of bankers] Germany had been plunged into a depression difficult to describe.” In every sense of the word, Germany had been brought to her knees. By the end of the 1920s, through almost indescribable hyperinflation brought about by, among other things, unpayable war reparations and hyperinflation Germany was bankrupt and starving to death. The international bankers and their European cohorts were “skinning her alive.”
Condemning the predatory practices of the international bankers which he recognized were responsible for the worldwide Great Depression, Hitler created his own monetary system. In an article, Nazism and the German Economic Miracle (Asia Times 5/24/05), economist Henry C. K. Liu tells us that, “The Nazis came to power in Germany in 1933, at a time when its economy was in total collapse, with zero prospects for foreign investment in credit. Yet through an independent monetary policy of sovereign credit and a full-employment public-works program, the Third Reich was able to turn a bankrupt Germany ... into the strongest economy in Europe within four years, even before armament spending began.”
This remarkable feat was accomplished through a plan of public works paid for with currency generated by the government itself. Projects were first earmarked for funding, repair of public buildings and private residences, construction of new buildings, bridges, canals and port facilities. The projected cost of the various programs was fixed at one billion units of the national currency. One billion non-inflationary bills of exchange called Labor Treasury Certificates were then issued against this cost. Millions of people were put to work on these projects, and the workers were paid with the Treasury Certificates. The workers then spent the certificates on goods and services, creating more jobs for more people... As the Treasury Certificates did not trade on foreign currency markets, they were beyond the reach of currency speculators. As a result, they retained their value, whereas the ‘value’ of international currencies were plummeting.” Through a barter system, which bypassed the “services” of the international bankers, Germany carried on a thriving export business. She also built a magnificent system of Autobahns — the world’s first superhighways.
This turn of events, of course, infuriated the international bankers. Drastic action was needed to bring the German “rebel” under their control.
CAPTAIN RAMSEY
In London Captain Ramsey, a member of the British Parliament, reports what happened: “Inside the House of Commons, the pro-Jewish warmongers were becoming more and more intransigent; and more and more set on sabotaging the chances of turning the ‘phony war’ into a negotiated peace. This in spite of the fact that Britain had nothing to gain by further and total war. The Jews, of course, had everything to lose by a peace which left the German gold-free money system and Jew-free Government intact, and nothing to gain” (The Nameless War, p.64)
The British parliamentarian revealed evidence that Hitler ceaselessly expounded the fact that he despised Marxism and “showed eagerness for friendship with Britain. Even down to, and including Dunkirk, Hitler pressed the latter idea on all and sundry, even on his highest Generals, to their astonishment. Nor did he stop at words ... [A]s Liddell Hart [a British war historian] informs us [The Other Side of the Hill, chapter 10], he saved the British Army from annihilation by halting the Panzer Corps, informing his Generals that he regarded the British Empire (a necessary bulwark) of peace and order which must be safeguarded... Forgotten in the turmoil was Marx’s slogan that before bolshevism could triumph the British Empire must be destroyed; and totally suppressed as far as the British people were concerned was Hitler’s repeated declaration of his willingness to defend the British Empire if called upon to assist by force of arms if necessary” (Ramsey, p.53). [All these facts were verified from official documents in British and German archives by British historian David Irving (Churchill’s War, Volume One)].
“SPIRITUAL AND MATERIAL WAR”
At that moment, Spring 1940, the world was about to see the fulfilment of a prediction made in 1934 by Vladimir (Ze’ev) Jabotinsky, founder of Revisionist Zionism, in Natcha Reich: “The fight against Germany (is being) carried out ... by every Jew in the world ... we shall let loose a spiritual and material war of the whole world against Germany.” Who would be charged with “loos[ing] (that) spiritual and material war ... against Germany”? None other than this writer’s childhood hero, “good old Winnie.” In his autobiography, Trial and Error, Chaim Weizmann described Churchill as “a champion of the Zionist cause” (p.290).
Prior to his being driven from office, Chamberlain had stated that — in the event of war — “his Majesty’s Government will never resort to the deliberate attack on women and children, and other civilians, for purposes of mere terrorism. I have nothing more to add...”
On the very day Churchill became Britain’s prime minister that promise from “His Majesty’s Government” was thrown in the garbage can by Churchill. “Good old Winnie” had no interest in peace. He was intent on starting another world war. As David Irving says in his book, Churchill thwarted the only chances that Europe had of peace in 1939 and 1940, and willfully unleashed a vicious bombing war that cost the lives of multiple millions. As a result of Churchill’s War, Britain lost her Empire — which Hitler wanted to preserve — and opened up the way for Bolshevism/Communism — which Hitler hated and wanted to destroy — to capture all of Eastern Europe [including Poland!] and eventually most of Asia. These tragic events resulted in the deaths of multiple millions of innocent human beings. It also served to turn the world-upside-down and paved the way for the worldwide spread of Bolshevism/Communism which he himself had stated (Illustrated Sunday Herald, February 8, 1920) was “in the actual process of producing another system of morals and philosophy, as malevolent as Christianity was benevolent, which, if not arrested, (will) shatter irretrievably all that Christianity had rendered possible.”
Within two weeks Captain Ramsey, the “peacemongering” member of Parliament and hundreds of other British peacemongers were arrested under Regulation 18B [the approximate British equivalent of George W. Bush’s “Homeland Security” legislation]. They were incarcerated, without being charged with any crimes, until late 1944. Publically, they were portrayed as threats to Britain’s “national security.” Sound familiar?
In the words of one of the characters in Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World, “These are unpleasant facts. I know it. But then, historical facts are unpleasant.” ■
