Each November Americans celebrate "THANKSGIVING." The first Thanksgiving was observed by the Pilgrims in 1621 to commemorate the bountiful harvest reaped by Plymouth Colony after an exceptionally harsh winter. The colonists gave thanks to their Creator for so abundantly providing for them in the face of so many trials and tribulations, hi 1789, President George Washington declared Thanksgiving a national holiday. In 1921 Congress decreed that the day be celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.
At first Thanksgiving was a day honoring God for the wonderful blessings poured out on a people who acknowledged him, praised him, and served him as their Creator, Provider, and Lawgiver. Until recently Thanksgiving was celebrated with those blessings in mind. Over the last 5-6 decades, however, most Americans have turned away from the beliefs and convictions of their forebears. They have turned Thanksgiving into a day on which the Creator is seldom if ever mentioned. To the majority, its "Turkey Day," a day dedicated to feasting and frivolity. Many spend most of their time watching endless football games on TV and stuffing their mouths with food and booze. To them, it is merely the first "feast day" of the "holiday season." The bountiful nature of God in supplying all the "goodies" of modern life is the furthest thing from their minds.
What is known as "Christmas" rounds off the holiday season. For merchandisers, it's the most profitable shopping period of the year. With' the secularization of American society, Christmas has been turned into a financial bonanza for commercial interests. The 25th of December, of course, was never celebrated by the Pilgrims. It was recognized for what it really is - a pagan festival masquerading behind a "Christian" label. Anciently, the 25th of December celebrated, not the birthday of the Lord Jesus Christ, but the birthday of the sun god Mithra. It celebrated the "rebirth" of the sun at the time of the winter solstice - the day on which there is a noticeable lengthening of daylight time (the "rebirth" of the sun god). The Pilgrims and Puritans refused to observe the day. "Christmas" only began to be widely observed in America in the mid-1800s.
Today, many powerful organizations are actively engaged in trying to get "Christ" out of Christmas, although he was never truly "in" it to begin with. This is not because they necessarily hate the frivolity, feasting, and gift-giving involved, but rather because they hate the Lord Jesus Christ whose name it falsely bears. In their Satanically-induced spiritual insanity, they despise the One who is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).
Could it be that Satan, the god and deceiver of the whole world (II Corinthians 4:4 and Revelation 12:9), has painted himself into a corner as a result of originally having managed to get Christ's name placed on one of the many pagan festivals he originally inspired? To those intent on creating a one world religion, any association with the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is now anathema - a liability and an embarrassment. It's amusing to watch the scramble to find a generic name for the holidays without losing the immense commercial profits derived from the season. Watch out for intensified efforts in society to eliminate Christ's name from any association with the season. Nativity scenes, and other icons generally associated with Christmas are banned in many communities across the nation. In most schools and colleges, Christian and other students are forbidden to mention the name of Jesus Christ. In a world that prides itself on its diversity and political correctness, they are told his name would only cause friction. It would cause stress for those of other faiths.
Students are permitted, even encouraged to talk or fantasize about witchcraft, demons, fornication, and to participate in all types of destructive pursuits in order to "find themselves" through experimentation. That' s condoned by the authorities. Bin the name of the One who is "the way, the truth and the life" is strictly verboten. He has been banned from all classes and from all discourse. He's strictly persona non grata! What hypocrisy!
TRUTH IN EMERGENCY ROOM
In America today, truth is lying fallen in the street. It is shunned and despised. Most of those who take a stand for truth and integrity in politics, religious, economics or in society as a whole, are considered "strange" - they are looked upon as being out of touch with reality. They are considered societal oddballs.
That truism has held throughout history. For example, in the first century and during his earthly ministry, Jesus Christ — the one by whom all things were created and by whom all things are sustained (John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16; / Corinthians 8:6) — was considered by many to be insane. People said he was "beside" himself (Mark 3:21). Others said, "He has a devil, and is mad. Why hear ye him?" (John 10:20). Others accused him of treason (John 19:12), while still others accused him of blasphemy (Matthew 26:65). In the end, the howling mob was screaming for his blood. "Crucify him, Crucify him," they howled.
And so it has been since the dawn of time. Most people automatically want to "crucify" or destroy the truth as it "interferes" with or contradicts their own fleshly desires. In the absence of truth (absolutes, or set standards of right and wrong) everyone becomes their own "god," the maker of their own rules and their "own reality." Today's social jungle and its tidal wave of degeneracy is the result of fifty years of such insanity.
In America today, truth is in the emergency room on life support. Ultimately, however, as John Adams (later our second president) declared in 1770, "Facts are stubborn things; and whatever our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictums of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." The truth, just because it is ignored, doesn't cease to exist. As in the Battle Hymn of the Republic, The Truth is marching on."
Most people hate the truth. They find it intimidating, threatening. It makes them feel uncomfortable. Why? Simple! "This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be revealed, that they are wrought inGod"(Jo/zn3:19-21)
In today's world of fantasy and make believe, truth is considered "politically incorrect." The results are becoming increasingly evident. At every point of the compass, truth is rej ected and held in scorn. In the real world, however, truth is as vibrantly alive as ever. It is eternal and will ultimately conquer everything standing in its way. That marvelous fact - the etemality of truth and the providence of our Creator - should give us as much cause for THANKSGIVING as it did for the Pilgrims in 1621.
TRUTH DESPISED AND REJECTED
 With the possible exception of many of today's churches, nowhere is truth despised and rejected more completely than by the political cockroaches who infest Washington, DC (the District of Corruption). When exposed to the light of truth, they run for cover and then viciously attack those who tell the truth. Particularly since the time of FDR, these traitors, under the direction of their behind-the-scenes controllers and manipulators, have systematically sold out their country to the highest bidder. In the early 1950s, the United States appeared invincible. In a society based on set standards, people were free and law-abiding. Our wealth was legendary. We were the giant in a world of pygmies. The rest of the world looked on in awe and held us in high esteem.
Now, less than 60 years later, Constitutional law and order is a thing of the past, and our one-time "public servants" have become public tyrants, taking on the role of despots. Through fiscal madness and social and foreign policies that have been catastrophic failures, we are deeper in debt than the rest of the world combined. Worldwide, we are held in contempt.
CREDIT CRISIS
The ongoing dollar crisis, in which our unconstitutional fiat money has lost about 10-20 percent of its perceived value in recent months, is just one of many signs of America's decline and pending collapse. However, this is merely a symptom of a much deeper problem. The blame must rest squarely on the shoulders of our political leaders and those to whom they have delegated positions of high responsibility. All of these are directly or indirectly under the control of "dark actors playing games" with our nation's destiny.
As Cicero declared in 42 BC, "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gates freely... the traitor appears not a traitor because he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation... He infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to the feared." Although originally used to describe the political conditions in the Roman Republic prior to its collapse into an imperial dictatorship, Cicero's words describe perfectly the conditions that exist in America in 2007.
In a recent interview with London's Financial Times, David Walker, head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and thus the nation's top inspector, noted that there are "striking similarities" between America's current situation and the factors that brought down Rome. These include "declining moral values, and political civility at home, an over-confident and overextended military in foreign lands and fiscal irresponsibility by the central government. "Sound familiar? In my view it's time to learn from history and take steps to ensure the American republic is the first to stand the test of time." The federal government is currently on an "unsustainable path." Mr. Walker said he wants to "turn up the volume" in warning that America is on a "burning platform" of unsustainable policies which, if not immediately dealt with, will have catastrophic results.
This "unsustainable path" of fiscal insanity was, of course, entered back in the 1930s by the FDR administration. It accelerated in the mid-1960s when the Johnson administration abandoned lawful Constitutional money (gold and silver, Constitution, Art. 1, Sec. 10) in order to finance its phony "Great Society" socialist agenda (plus the horribly destructive Vietnam War and its phony "war on poverty"). The objective was, of course, to artificially finance a welfare state and a series of phony "wars" that would eventually bankrupt the United States. These, in turn, would create multiple millions who would be dependent upon the federal government. As "slaves of the system," their support for socialist programs at election time would be assured.
In the early 1960s, the monumental destructiveness of similar socialist ploys was commented on by none other than Alan Greenspan who would later become chairman of the Fed: "The abandonment of the gold standard made it possible ... to use the banking system as a means to an unlimited expansion of credit... The law of supply is not to be conned... in the absence of the gold standard there is ho way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value... The financial policy of the welfare state demands that there be no way for the owners of wealth to protect themselves. This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirade against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the hidden confiscation of wealth" [Later, as head of the Fed, Greenspan wholeheartedly embraced and promoted this "scheme for the hidden confiscation of wealth"].
The Johnson gang financed these wars by "borrowing" money from Social Security and Medicare, and increasing the supply of fiat [ultimately worthless] money. The inflationary spiral that followed forced President Nixon to take the U.S. off the gold standard on August 15, 1971, but that did not solve the problem. Inflation rose to 11 % in 1979, and 15% in 1980. When Paul Volcker became Chairman of the Fed in 1979 and evaluated the inflation rate, he contracted the money supply, limited credit, and raised the interest rate to 21% to stabilize the U.S. dollar.
Alan Greenspan testified before the House Banking Committee on June 20, 2005. On that occasion lie was confronted by Congressman Ron Paul' "[Sjince we went to a total paper [fiat] standard in 1971, we have increased our money supply essentially 12-fold. Debt in this country, federal debt, has gone up 19-fold but that is in nominal dollars, not real dollars. So my question is this: Is it not true that the paper system that we work with today is actually a scheme to default on our debt?..."
Based on his earlier "shabby secret" statement, Greenspan's answer should have been a plain yes. But no, in his usual circuitous, convoluted, legalistic manner, Greenspan basically avoided answering the question. As Dr. Stan Monteith pointed out in a recent article, "If Alan Greenspan had (as head of the Fed) limited the expansion of the money supply (M1, M2, M3) to 1 % -2% a year there would have been 1 %-2% inflation, and the fiat money system would have survived. Instead (he) increased the money supply 5%-10% a year, lowered interest rates, encouraged the use of credit, supported irresponsible tax cuts, and stimulated excessive investment and produced the rampant inflation we are witnessing today..."
"WATCH OUT FOR THE DAY"
Now read the powerful words of Ayn Rand, an Alan Greenspan mentor and one of the most popular writers of the 20th century: "Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying gold money for it is man's protection and the base of a moral existence. Destroyers seize gold and leave to its owners a counterfeit pile of money. This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values. Gold is an objective value, an equivalent of wealth produced. Paper money is mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by guns aimed at those who are expected to produce. Paper money is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account that is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims.
"Watch for the day when it bounces, marked 'account overdrawn.' Do not expect them to remain moral and to become fodder for the immoral. Do not expect them to produce when production is punished and looting rewarded. Do not ask who is destroying the world. You are" (John .Galp's radio speech in Atlas Shrugged)
Is that day now at hand? If not, recent events indicate it can't be too far off. As agonizingly unpleasant as it may be, Americans need to face reality. Those we have been conned into electing as our "representatives" have, with very few exceptions, sold out our individual and national best long-term interests to alien forces. Most have wilfully betrayed their oaths of office to uphold the Constitution and defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. As our "leaders" and "lawmakers," they must be held individually and collectively responsible for their treachery through which our once great nation has been reduced to little more than an empty shell.

The Pilgrims who celebrated the first Thanksgiving viewed America as "the promised land" ... "a city on a hill" and a gift from their Creator. Their leader John Winthrop declared that "the eyes of all people are upon us, so if [future generations] deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause Him to withdraw His present help, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world." Is modern America about to become "a story and a byword"? A serious question!
America is being systematically destroyed by secret societies acting through their privately-owned "Federal" Reserve, the multinational corporations and their bought-and-paid-for puppets who pose as our leaders. Although they "appear not as traitors because they speak in accents familiar to their victims," they have methodically "rotted the soul of our nation and infected the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared."
PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
In the on-going presidential campaign there is only one candidate who stands out as a pillar of honesty and integrity, one who has the guts to stand up and tell the truth about the unconstitutional, nationally destructive monetary system mat - with numerous other factors - is bringing our once proud .and powerful nation to its knees: Ron Paul. Throughout his lengthy political career in Washington, Paul has never once violated his constitutional oath of office - to defend his country against all enemies foreign and domestic. Ron Paul's unwavering integrity and loyalty to his country, and the fact that he is not beholden to special interests, is gaining him an ever-increasing number of supporters as we near the time for the state primaries. His simple, straightforward message of patriotism, personal freedom and fiscal responsibility under the Constitution - plus his powerful presence on the world wide web - is winning him millions of supporters across the nation. We deem him to be the only presidential candidate worthy of any support. All the others are political hacks who have sold their souls to those whose aim is to enslave us in a Luciferian New World Order.
Be assured, the One who is "the way, the truth, and the life" will ultimately win out.
