We just returned home after a week “on the road.” We visited and held meetings in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Missoula, Montana. It was a great opportunity to meet several long-time friends and make a number of new ones. It was a round trip of over 1,200 miles.
On the way home we spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Bob Fletcher and his wife Nancy who live in Bayview, 30 miles north of Coeur d’Alene. Back in the 1980s, Bob owned a very successful toy business in Florida. He made puppets and other toys that were widely popular. Unwittingly, he joined forces with new “business partners” who promised to help him expand his business worldwide and make him a wealthy man. It turned out that his new partners were, in fact, CIA agents. As such, they were certainly very interested in expanding “business” — THEIRS, not his!
Shortly after joining forces with these individuals (led by a Gary Vest, who had plenty of money and expressed a strong interest in developing markets overseas for his products), Bob noticed heavily coded fax messages pouring into his office from various parts of the world. With a little investigation, he found that Vest and his companions were CIA operatives who were receiving messages from other CIA operatives scattered around the globe. Bob’s CIA “partners” were using the “cover” of his Animal Factory toy company to run various drug smuggling operations that were enormously profitable. The operation turned out to be part of what later erupted into what is known as Iran/Contra scandal. CIA operatives were using Bob’s toy company (The Animal Factory) to, among other things, smuggle arms down to the Contra forces in Nicaragua. On the return trips the CIA planes (operating under the label “Air America” among others) were bringing back drugs that were then distributed throughout the United States. The fully loaded planes had government-authorized permission to land at certain Air Force bases across the nation. Among these were Homestead Air Force base south of Miami. One “independent” pilot who worked for Air America later testified on camera that he received $75,000 in cash for each “run” he made.
It turned out that Gary Vest ran a number of such operations under a variety of names, all of which included the word “Vista.” He renamed Fletcher’s hijacked company, Vista Animal Factory. When Bob was forced to sever all ties with the company in 1987, these CIA thugs owed him more than half a million dollars. The money was never paid. The whole sordid affair, which also involved Generals Heine Aberholt, Richard Secord, and John Singlaub, was conveniently covered up under a label of “national security.” That is certainly a handy cover under which to hide monstrously criminal activities. But that has been the modus operandi of successive administrations in Washington since Word War II. It’s called “business as usual.” So called “Congressional investigations” are an empty sham. All the criminals who are exposed by such “hearings” are automatically pardoned by the president before he leaves office. Remember how President George H. W. Bush, the former CIA chief, pardoned everyone guilty of wrongdoing in the Iran-Contra affair? It should also be noted that the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at Langley, Virginia, is officially named the George Bush Center For Intelligence.
GENERAL SPEAKS OUT
Some fifteen years ago I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with an Air Force General who had close personal knowledge of how this “importation” of vast amounts of drugs by the CIA was handled. He revealed to me that after the pilots of the incoming “drug planes” identified themselves through coded radio messages, they were given priority clearance to land. Upon landing, the planes were directed to follow a vehicle with flashing lights to remote sections of the various Air Force bases. At these isolated locations their cargoes were offloaded onto waiting trucks. These then transported the drugs to unknown storage facilities at which point the drugs were repackaged for distribution to cities in the surrounding areas. The general told me off the record that when shipments were coming in all other activities at the bases were placed on the back burner until the mission had been accomplished. The government’s alleged “war on drugs” was totally phony. It was an instrument used by “our” real leaders in Washington, the District of Corruption, to increase their own power and influence from coast to coast.
As we have repeatedly pointed out in the pages of Midnight Messenger, branches of the American government have, for many decades, been involved in drug dealing. There has been a thriving CIA drug “business” since at least the time of the Viet Nam war. As reported in Midnight Messenger 21 years ago (Issue #15, September/October 1987) then-Vice President George H.W. Bush, the former CIA chief, was heavily involved in covering up evidence of government involvement in this deadly, nation-destroying activity. Documentation of this emerged when the Reagan Administration chose Colonel James “Bo” Gritz, a much-decorated commander of Special Forces, to go on a mission to Asia. His assignment: check out reports that America MIAs (“missing in action”) were alive and still being held 13 years after the end of the Viet Nam war. One of his tasks was to meet with General Kuhn Sa, who controlled what is known as the Golden Triangle — one of Asia’s two main illicit opium producing areas. The Golden Triangle is said to be responsible for two-thirds of the world’s opium production.
Khun Sa was believed to have knowledge about American troops who were MIAs after the end of the Viet Nam war. With special documents supplied by the National Security Council (NSA), Gritz and a few companions were able to gain access to the general. In an on-site interview, filmed by one of Gritz’ companions, the general stated that he was personally unaware of any MIAs being in his area of control. He did, however, provide evidence of CIA involvement in controlling the flow of opium from Asia, along what he dubbed the Heroin Highway, into the United States among other places. He named Richard Armitage, who later became undersecretary of state in the first George W. Bush Administration, as being the top American agent in charge of CIA drug smuggling operations in Asia. At the time, Armitage operated out of Bangkok, Thailand.
Much to the astonishment of the Americans, Khun Sa spoke freely about the drug problem. He said nothing would make him happier than to be able to stop growing the poppies from which heroin is derived. He was prepared to do almost anything to stop it if he could be assured that his people would survive. The general stated that the American government had given the Burmese communists 65 million dollars in cash, plus twelve Bell helicopters and other planes for a total of more than 100 million dollars. The money was paid in an alleged attempt to stop the flow of opium to the outside world. It had stopped nothing. In fact the flow of opium had greatly increased. The general stated that during 1986 some 700 tons of opium had been shipped out of his area. In 1987 that figure would increase to more than 900 tons. Khun Sa stated he was opposed to the smuggling of opium as he knew the devastating it has on people. He had the cure to the drug problem among his own people: decapitation. It worked every time! Khun Sa would stop the flow of opium if he received from the American government one tenth of what it gave the Burmese communists.
After carefully making copies of their videotaped conversation with General Khun Sa, “Bo” and his friends excitedly delivered a copy to their contact in the Reagan/Bush White House. Soon, the contact called Bo. His reaction? “Fantastic!” He was amazed that Khun Sa was still alive. The CIA had earlier reported him dead. He was also excited by the promise that Khun Sa would attempt to locate any MIAs who might be found in his area of influence. Bo then asked the $64,000 question: What about the general’s offer to stop the flow of drugs out of the Golden Triangle?
There was a pregnant pause at the other end of the line. Then the White House liaison said: “Bo, there’s no interest in that here.” Gritz was dumfounded. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Had not President Reagan and his wife, Nancy, declared a war on drugs? Had not President Reagan appointed Vice President George Bush as the nation’s top cop to stop the flow of drugs across our borders? What did he mean, no interest? The man at the White House was equally dumbfounded: “Bo, what can I tell you? There is no interest in that here.”
The truth now became crystal clear. Official Washington had “no interest” in interfering with the highly lucrative drug trade. In fact for years the drug trade had been one of the main funding sources for the CIA’s “black” operations around the world. As far as the United States is concerned, the importation and distribution of drugs was one of the numerous methods being used to undermine and destabilize America in preparation for its ultimate destruction. The only partly genuine “war on drugs” is the one being waged against “privateers” who are in competitions with the “big boys.” As John D. Rockefeller is famously quoted as saying, “Competition is a sin.” It has to be stamped out as much as possible.

THE SARAH PALIN FACTOR
An interesting thing happened just before the recent “Republican” Convention. Senator John McCain chose Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate. (The word Republican is in quotes for a definite reason. What presently passes for the once “Grand Old Party” in no way resembles the true Republic Party of yesteryear. The present “party” has completely sold out and is a major factor in destroying our nation in preparation for its absorption into the planned Global Plantation.
There has been a lot of speculation as to why Palin was selected, particularly in light of the fact that, as governor of Alaska, she fought the Republican “old boy” system in her state. She was instrumental in thwarting their personal plans to make multiple millions of dollars through their cozy relationships with Big Oil. As the Wall Street Journal pointed out in a September 5 article, “The oil industry, which provides 85% of state revenues, has strived (sic) to own the government. Alaska’s politicians — in particularly ruling Republicans — roll in oil campaign money, lavish oil revenue on pet projects, then retire to lucrative oil jobs where they lobby for sweetheart oil deals... Alaskans have long resented this dysfunction, which has led to embarrassing corruption scandals. It has also led to a uniform belief that the political class, in hock to the oil class, fails to completely oversee Alaska’s vast oil and gas wealth, the majority of which belongs to the state — or rather, Alaskan citizens.
“And it came as no great surprise in 2004 when former Republican Gov. Frank Murkowski, made clear he was working exclusively with three North Slope producers — ExxonMobil, ConocoPhilips and BP — to build a $25 billion pipeline to move natural gas to the lower 48. The trio had informed their political vassals that they alone would build this project (they weren’t selling their gas to outsiders) and that they expected the state to reward them. Mr. Murkowski disappeared into smoky backrooms to work out the details. He refused to release information on the negotiations. When National Resources Commissioner Tom Irwin suggested terms of the contract were illegal, he was fired.” It was later discovered that Murkowski’s devious plan, which changed the oil and gas tax structure in favor of the oil companies and would lock in that oil-requested “sweetheart” deal for 40 years, provide a $4 billion state investment, and relinquish most state oversight.
At this stage Sarah Palin, the former Mayor of Wasillah who had been appointed by Muskowski in 2003 to the state oil and gas regulatory agency, entered the scene. In the words of the Journal, “she’d had the temerity to blow the whistle on fellow GOP Commissioner Randy Ruedrich for refusing to disclose energy dealings.” When Murkowski joined forces with another political charlatan, GOP Attorney General Gregg Renkes, to support Ruedrich (who chaired the state GOP). Palin resigned. “Having thus offended the entire old boy network, she challenged the governor for his seat.”
Palin ran for governor against the secret deal. She vowed to put the pipeline back out for competitive, transparent bidding. Murkowski ran on his unpopular pipeline deal, while big oil warned that the pipeline could never be built without Murkowski’s help.
In the primary Palin easily defeated the Machiavellian Murkowski and became governor in 2006. Following open, competitive bidding and before the legislature awarded the pipeline contract to TransCanada, the big oil companies suddenly announced they had found the money and would be building their own pipeline without any state inducement.
Murkowski lost all credibility. His lead pipeline negotiator later pleaded guilty to conspiring with the oil companies. And the attorney general was fined $12,000. The GOP machine was decimated (Wall Street Journal, 9/5/08)
Reports suggest that McCain’s selection of Palin as his running mate may have been influenced by Big Oil wanting to “unload” Palin from the Alaskan scene. Although she has a reputation of being a “barracuda,” in DC (the infamous District of Corruption) she would find herself in a fathomless cesspool overloaded with vicious political sharks. If she becomes Vice President (and then President?) and attempts to deal with the Eastern Establishment in the same manner as she did the Alaska establishment, she would probably meet the same fate as JFK.
MONETARY CRISIS
As we go to press with this Alert newsletter, the United States is faced with a financial crisis greater than that faced as a consequence of the Crash of 1929 and the resultant Great Depression. At that time America still had a relatively honest money system. It also had a majority of people whose lives were based on biblical principles and economic reality. Both of these major attributes have long-since vanished. They have long-since been replaced by liberal lunacy and fiscal insanity.
What we are seeing unfold is a scenario warned about by fiscal realists for many decades. In 1913, Congressman Charles Lindbergh declared that Congress’s willingness to permit the creation of a private corporation called the “Federal” Reserve System was the “crime of the century”and would result in an “invisible government” gaining control of the United States for its own benefit. Congressman Louis T. McFadden stated that the private owners of the Fed are a “dark band of financial pirates [which] prey upon the people of these United States.” The international banking criminals — through their political pawns — have seized control of the reins of government. They are in fact the invisible government that has maneuvered our nation into its present financial trauma. They are, at this very moment, strong-arming our political representatives to surrender all remaining control of our nation’s affairs into their hands. As British author Christopher Story observes, “[T]he legislation that is being rammed down Congress’s throat will amount to a coup d’etat reminiscent of the coup d’etat by installments perpetrated at the outset of Hitler’s Third Reich in Germany. This is because the proposed bill trashes what little remains of the U.S. Constitution by providing that a Branch of the American Government, the Judicial Branch, will be precluded from oversight of what the U.S. Treasury Department, which is a component of the Executive Branch, will be ‘permitted’ to do under the legislation. No single Branch of the U.S. Government can, constitutionally, combine with another Branch to nullify powers of the third Branch, whether such an arrangement is labeled temporary or not...” (Global Analyst 9/23/08).
What appears to be taking place is a further strong move toward the creation of a “world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system [is planned] to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences” (Tragedy and Hope, by Dr. Carroll Quigley, 1966, p.324).
Will our alleged political “representatives” on Capitol Hill give this dark band of financial pirates who comprise the invisible government the dictatorial power they lust after? Or will they, as a result of public outrage, finally find the political backbone necessary to stand up and say “NO” to these treacherous criminals who plot to destroy our national sovereignty and make us all slaves on their planned Global Plantation?
We sincerely hope that their answer to that vitally important question is in the affirmative.
